"Livin' for the weekend"
While at WCBC, one of the highlights was the bus ministry. It was a joy and privilege to visit the bus kids and knock new doors on Saturday and pick the kids up on Sunday. The captain that year was Carlos Alaan, and I remember him challenging me as a young freshman to always do more for God.
Even though I transferred after my freshman year, I still think about my bus route at West Coast and reminisce all the good times that I had with my friends and co-bus workers while we were out reaching souls for Christ.
Thank you, Pastor Chappell, staff, and faculty, for your vision for the next generation and your burden for lost souls. Independent Baptist colleges that still stand on the King James Bible and preach the Book like it is are very few, while more and more fall away to the world. I'm very blessed to have been able to attend West Coast. It was there that I started building a solid foundation on the inspired, preserved Word of God.
