On April 9-11, teenagers and youth workers from across the country attended the West Coast Baptist Youth Conference. Pastor Kurt Skelly from New Kensington, Pennsylvania, was the guest speaker along with Dr. Paul Chappell and Dr. John Goetsch. At the close of the conference the choir loft filled with teenagers who were surrendering to God’s will for the first time that week.

Dr. Goetsch preached the opening service of Youth Conference 2008.
Through his passionate biblical preaching, he challenged young men and women to "Consider Christ," and to surrender their lives to serve Him.

While teens enjoyed daytime sessions, hundreds of youth leaders met for practical training and spiritual encouragement. Here Bro. Cary Schmidt speaks to youth leaders about "tracking effective ministry to every teen." Bro. Kurt Skelly, Dr. Goetsch and other youth leaders also brought sessions.

The West Coast Baptist College student body presented a powerful and moving drama in the opening service that portrayed the trial of Paul before King Agrippa.

Following the Thursday morning sessions, conference attendees spent the day at Six Flags Magic Mountain, just 40 minutes from the college campus.

Following Dr. Chappell's dynamic message entitled "Three Day's Journey," over one hundred students came forward and stood in the choir loft as a public testimony of their call to ministry, and commitment to serve Christ.
