The Great Commission is a call to effectively communicate God's truth. As ministers of Christ, we must use every tool the Lord provides to reach the lost and disciple believers. Our society today connects with and responds to media more powerfully than any other generation. The media minor at West Coast Baptist College will equip and train you to use web, video, print and audio with excellence. The classes and hands-on experience will prepare you to be a more effective local church leader wherever God calls you.

Primary Media Minor Instructor

Gary Spaeth

Dr. John Goetsch

Shortly after Brother Spaeth was saved, God called him into ministry. Upon finishing high school, he completed his undergraduate work with a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministries with a minor in Greek and, subsequently, a Master of Theology degree.

Prior to coming to West Coast Baptist College, Brother Spaeth served as a Senior Pastor for twelve years. In addition to his work in the ministry, Brother Spaeth served as an instructor in web development and graphic design for New Horizons Southern California, part of the world’s largest independent IT training company. He has conducted classes for companies such as Disney, The Cheesecake Factory, Neutrogena, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Fisher Price, and Red Bull. He was ranked in the top 25 instructors out of 1700 worldwide.
