This major includes study in philosophy of music, music theory, history of music, hymnology, keyboard skills and voice training. Men are trained to lead a music ministry in the local church. Ladies are trained to work in areas of music ministry support. All of the Bible courses and practical studies are required in this department which prepares the student for a ministry in the local church in a multitude of areas. Piano Focus:

Enroll in seven semesters of private piano lessons. At the discretion of the Music Department, piano labs may be substituted for private piano lessons.

Voice Focus:

Enroll in two semesters of MU 150 Voice Class and five semesters of private voice lessons.

Orchestral Instrument Focus:

Consult with the Chairman of the Music Department. Typically, seven semesters of private lessons will be required.
