Taking the Gospel To Japan
Jacob Turnbow, a master’s student from Texas, is greatly enjoying his time in Japan with a team traveling for WCBC’s Barnabas International program. Ministry began the moment he got off the plane earlier this month.
July is when summer camp is held in Japan, and Jacob has assisted local churches by serving as a counselor for several weeks. He has had the opportunity to preach, teach, and mentor dozens of teenagers through this venue. After preaching one Wednesday morning and seeing several decisions, he commented, “It was great to be used by God like that in a country that has so few Gospel lighthouses.”
Soulwinning with missionaries and church members is the main focus on Saturdays, sometimes followed by outreach programs for local children. While Japan has nearly four times the population of California, less than 2% of the population claim any kind of Christianity. Truly, this field is white unto harvest. Please pray for Jacob as he continues to make a difference in the country of Japan.
