Montaños to Mexico

In March 2009, the Lancaster Baptist Church commissioned Luis and Magdelena Montaño to go to Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico to begin a fundamental Bible-believing, Baptist church in a city without the light of the Gospel. After only a couple months of soulwinning and outreach, the Montaños began the Hermosillo Baptist Church. This past May they celebrated one year with a good attendance and three saved. They are currently hosting their first VBS and are excited to see God work. Two new families have recently started attending Hermosillo Baptist Church. Brother Montaño met both families during soulwinning. The parents are saved, and the Montaños are praying for the salvation of one of their sons, Julio, who has been attending the youth class. Through faithful soulwinning and Gospel preaching, God has blessed with a growing church, teen ministry, ladies ministry and recently with a generous donation which will be applied to their building fund. We thank the Lord for these two WCBC graduates who are sharing the Gospel in Mexico.
