Lady Eagles Victorious at Multnomah Tournament

The Lady Eagles went on a 4 and 0 run this weekend, defeating Multnomah University and Linfield University two times each.

In their first 3 matches, the Lady Eagles shut out each team 3-0. In their final match, however, the Lady Eagles showed some fatigue. It was a true ping-pong match with Linfield taking the first set, the Eagles taking the second, Linfield taking the third, and the Eagles taking the fourth. Going into the fifth game, the Eagles set a goal to reach 8 points first. They met this goal, and took the momentum to the other side of the court. With the little energy and momentum they had left, the Eagles finished the match, 15-11 defeating Linfield once again.

Not only did the Lady Eagles experience athletic success this weekend, but they were able to lead a 17-year old girl to the Lord, pass out over 100 tracts, and give out the plan of salvation many times. Coach Shaw attributes the success of this weekend to “a merciful God, a caring pastor, and a hard working team.” We praise the Lord for the victories won both on and off the court. This next weekend, the Lady Eagles will play at the University of California Santa Cruz.
