Christmas Banquet 2011
Dec 14, 2011
The Christmas Banquet is not just a nice meal and a special speaker at West Coast Baptist College. It is a major event that provides memories and decisions for a lifetime! This year our theme was Toyland as faculty and students had the opportunity to revert back to some childhood memories and events. Our Student Life Center was decorated beautifully to that theme, and faculty dressed up as childhood toys to serve the meal. Students then made their way to the Main Auditorium where they enjoyed Christmas music on the piano by Dr. Zachary (with the help of a few others including Dr. Rasmussen dressed as Santa Claus). The Drama Players presented a mini-play entitled “Toys-R-Me” with the true meaning of Christmas woven into the all-too-common selfishness that prevails in society and sadly among Christians as well. The night concluded with the dynamic preaching of Pastor Rusty Smith, and like always at West Coast, students were receptive and decisions were made for Christ. It was a grand night concluding another great semester and, more importantly, the catalyst to live for the Lord over the break and for years to come.
