Barnabas Team International El Salvador
The door is open in El Salvador. A little over three years ago, God set up divine appointments that led to the establishment of two independent Baptist churches in the cities of Cojutepeque and Metapan, El Salvador.
In March, a team of students from West Coast Baptist College visited those churches to strengthen the work, and allow God to touch their own hearts for missions. There was no lack of ministry opportunities throughout the week. The team was able to pass out thousands of tracts and copies of John and Romans in busy street markets and several public schools. They also taught Bible classes at a school administered by one of the independent Baptist missionaries. The trip was planned around two large events. In Cojutepeque, the church hosted a Salvadoran pastor’s conference. The students sang throughout the conference, and Carlos Navarrete, Spanish pastor for Lancaster Baptist Church and leader of the team, preached in several of the services.
In Metapan, missionary Kyle Charters held his church’s third anniversary. It was a truly blessed service, and a great testament of God’s work on the mission field. In all, the students returned from the trip more excited than ever to serve the Lord.
