Alumni Update Matthew Manney Family

Matthew and Amanda Manney are both Alumni of West Coast Baptist College. Matthew graduated in 2006, and Amanda graduated with the class of 2007. Church planting in Clifton Heights, PA, the Manneys are currently on deputation with the projected date of September 18, 2011, as the grand opening of the Greater Philadelphia Baptist Church. Brother and Mrs. Manney have one son, Malachi (1), and are pleased to announce the upcoming arrival of their daughter, due in late September.

In August, the Manneys will start door knocking and canvassing the area. "We are a church plant to the city of Philadelphia. We are located in a very urbanized area. In a 5 mile radius, we have 225,000 homes and over 500,000 people to reach. Our church will be located in a charter school started by a businessman from our sending church. God has provided a wonderful auditorium that will be built this summer for the charter school that we will have access to use come fall 2011."

Concerning ministry preparations, Brother Manney shared, "Plan, plan, and plan some more. And when those plans don’t work out, see it as divine intervention from God. Ministry is a journey of faith. I have received letters, phone calls, and emails and have been amazed and overjoyed at the goodness of my God as He has answered prayer after prayer! Never lose the joy and wonder of living the Christian life, walking with God, and the incredible privilege to serve an almighty God."

West Coast would like to thank Brother and Mrs. Manney for their faithfulness to planting the Greater Philadelphia Baptist Church.
