Alumni Update Josh and Anna Tanner
Dec 07, 2010
West Coast would like to congratulate Josh and Anna Tanner for the birth of their new baby, Ethan. Born on November 15, Ethan was five pounds, one ounce, and 19 inches long. The Tanners, WCBC graduates of 2009, are faithfully serving in Cortez, Colorado, at Lighthouse Baptist Church.
In August of 2009, the Tanners made their way to Cortez to join the leadership team of Lighthouse Baptist Church, pastored by Andrew Reed. Brother Tanner serves as the assistant Pastor and teaches the seventh - ninth grade in the Christian school. Anna is also a teacher, working with the third and fourth grades. Over the past year, the Christian school has seen tremendous growth. The 2009-2010 school year saw thirteen students enrolled; whereas this year a total of thirty-three students are in attendance!
In addition to the school growth, the church is experiencing a need for ministry expansion. "We've started a young adult Sunday School Class and have had the joy of watching many teens come. Last year, we were able to bring fifteen teenagers to youth conference," explained Brother Tanner. "Everything is growing. God has allowed some great things to happen."
West Coast would like to thank Brother Tanner and his family for their faithfulness to the ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church.
